“Smile Please!” Pragyan rover clicks Vikram Lander on Moon, ISRO shares stunning pictures

New Delhi, August 30 (ANI): India’s lunar exploration continues after Vikram Lander made a soft landing on the South Pole of the Moon. On August 30, ISRO shared stunning pictures of Vikram Lander on the Moon. These pictures were clicked by the Pragyan rover which is exploring the uncharted South Pole. In the picture, payloads ChaSTE and ILSA of Vikram Lander were also visible. A few days ago, ISRO shared the first observation from ChaSTE payload onboard Vikram Lander. ChaSTE measured the temperature of the lunar topsoil to understand thermal behavior of Moon surface. With never rest attitude, ISRO is continuing to show its prowess in the space sector. India scripted history on August 23 as it became the first country to reach the South Pole of the Moon. After successful lunar mission, ISRO has announced much-awaited solar mission Aditya-L1. This launch is scheduled for September 2, 2023 at 11:50 Hrs IST from Satish Dhawan Space Centre.
