Indian Embassy hosts First-Ever great Indian Mango festival in Baku

Baku (Azerbaijan), July 08 (ANI): The Embassy of India in Azerbaijan organised the first-ever Great Indian Mango Festival in Baku, introducing the authentic flavours of India's famed "King of Fruits" to Azerbaijani audiences while strengthening cultural and people-to-people ties between the two countries. Held on July 5, the festival witnessed an enthusiastic response from diplomats, government representatives, business leaders, media professionals, members of the Indian diaspora and a large number of Azerbaijani citizens. Guests sampled premium Indian varieties, including Alphonso, Kesar and Badami, while enjoying vibrant cultural performances showcasing India's rich heritage. Ambassador of India to Azerbaijan, Abhay Kumar, said the festival was another step towards strengthening cultural and people-to-people ties between India and Azerbaijan. Many Azerbaijani visitors, tasting Indian mangoes for the first time, praised their unique flavour and aroma, while hospitality industry representatives welcomed the initiative, citing rising demand for Indian mangoes and mango-based products.
