Ayutthaya (Bangkok), Nov 30 (ANI): Like the Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, there is an Ayodhya in Thailand too. Ayodhya in Thailand called “Ayutthaya” was a flourishing Buddhist kingdom in Thailand for 400 years, from the 14th to 18th century. Not only is this place named Ayodhya, but there are some connections between these two places in history as well. There is a dynasty in Ayutthaya, every king of which is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Ram. The kings in Ayutthaya have the title of Ram in their names which is an old tradition here. Ayutthaya has been linked to the context in which Ayodhya is mentioned as the capital of Lord Rama in the Ramayana.
