Hong Kong [China], May 2: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted 78 km SSE of Panguna, Papua New Guinea at 12:50:31 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 51.49 km, was initially determined to be at 7.0029 degrees south latitude and 155.682 degrees east longitude.
